*QUEER CABARET*
*A night of community and creativity beyond physical distancing*
Saturday, April 11th
What is a QUEER CABARET?
We will gather round in front of our digital devices and create an imaginary cabaret space with food, candles and your creative contribution.
You don't have to perform anything! It's up to you!
What creative contribution?
The queer communities have such rich, creative ways to express themselves. Whatever you want to bring is a gift!
Read from your favourite book, do spoken word, performance art, burlesque, drag, music, vogueing, comedy.
How does it work?
Decide to join us for this gatherette & write us an e-mail > you get a Zoom link.
Prepare an act
Send us until 3 p.m. via E-Mail:
- your name & pronouns act description (1 sentence)
- music (mp3) if you need it
Prepare yourself something to drink and eat
Dress the fuck up or come as you are
Create a nice environment for yourself (in your bed, your bathtub or living room or wherever)
Screen and sound ON is obligatory for this special event to create this experience
For introverts: at a queer festival in the UK participants used an “invisibility” cloth/blanket to cover themselves, so they weren´t approached directly but were able to pe part of the gatherings
- that´s an option if you feel uncomfortable
